Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on January 31, 1974. She is best known for her role as Bo on the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay is the producer and director of the drama at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. The father of Silk, Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching television and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials when she was a young child. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. The early stage work she did included two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999, to keep acting. After that, she relocated in Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she began to meet him in 2007 in an actor's workshop located in Los Angeles. When she got engaged in 2008, they got married in 2009. Following her conversion to Judaism and they renew their vows in the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011, in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman was blessed with her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron is her second child, and was born on 13th of May 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she landed the principal character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian TV show Lost Girl. Silk told fans of the show the joyous information that she was pregnant on the set of the final episode of season 3 in an exclusive pre-show to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase at an exclusive Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the show's premiere. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season. On June 20, 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to return to work on the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to an extensive online presence through social networks.
